Every Hell Let Loose: Vietnam vehicle: M48 Patton vs T-54 armor stats, helicopter and patrol boat costs, trucks, and how commander fuel spawns them.

What vehicles are in Hell Let Loose: Vietnam?
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam runs eight vehicle types between the two factions: battle tanks (M48 Patton for the US, T-54 for the NVA), transport and supply helicopters for the US, trucks for both sides, and armed river patrol boats. Vehicles are not bought in a menu — the commander spawns them from team Fuel, so armor and air support arrive on a economy your team builds with fuel nodes. All costs below are from the community Detailed Guide on Steam (checked September 21, 2026, Update 1.5).
US vehicles
| Vehicle | Fuel Cost | Spawn Time | Key Specs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Transport Truck | 100 | 01:30 | 12-person capacity |
| Supply Truck | 100 | 01:30 | 150×2 supplies |
| Transport Helicopter | 75 | 30s | +5 passengers, mobile spawn, left/right M60D door guns (400 rounds each) |
| Supply Drop Helicopter | 75 | 30s | 50×2 supplies |
| M48 Patton | 250 | 04:00 | 90 mm M41 gun (HVAP 40 / HE 40 / Smoke 10), M73 7.62 mm coaxial MG (200/6) |
| PBR Boat | 200 | 05:00 | Mobile spawn, front twin-linked M2 Browning (300 rounds), rear M2 (300 rounds) |
The M48 Patton is the US armor anchor: its 90 mm M41 gun carries 40 HVAP rounds for punching the T-54, 40 HE for infantry and structures, and 10 smoke for retreats. The PBR is a mobile spawn that lets a full squad river-hop behind enemy lines — one of the most map-shaping tools in the game on waterway maps.
NVA vehicles
| Vehicle | Fuel Cost | Spawn Time | Key Specs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Transport Truck | 100 | 01:30 | 12-person capacity |
| Supply Truck | 100 | 01:30 | 150×2 supplies |
| T-54 | 250 | 04:00 | 28 km/h, 100 mm D-10T gun (APHE 40 / HE-FRAG 40 / Smoke 10), SGMT 7.62 mm coaxial MG (200/6) |
| NVA Boat | 200 | 05:00 | 150×2 supplies, mobile spawn, front dual DShK 12.7×108 mm (300 rounds), rear RPD 7.62×39 mm (300 rounds) |
The T-54 trades speed for hitting power: its 100 mm D-10T out-calibers the Patton's gun on paper, but at a documented 28 km/h it is deliberate, positioning-first armor. The NVA boat swaps the PBR's pure gunboat loadout for a hybrid — dual DShKs up front plus 150×2 supplies and a mobile spawn, fitting the faction's tunnel-and-relocate playstyle.
How vehicles get on the field
- Fuel economy: the commander's fuel menu spawns trucks (100), helicopters (75), boats (200) and tanks (250); no fuel, no vehicles.
- Counterplay is built in: the NVA fields the static DShKM anti-air gun (built by the Machine Gunner, 300 rounds, no resupply) against US helicopters, while US infantry carry the M72 launcher and NVA infantry the RPG-02 against tanks.
- Support exists: Engineers deploy vehicle repair stations and ammo trailers (10 m radius, trailer expires after 5 uses).
