The official launch announcement detailed Hell Let Loose: Vietnam's six real-world maps, armed river patrols, US air units and the 2026 Field Supplies cosmetic plan.

With launch day live, Team17 and Expression Games put out the full statutory rundown of what Hell Let Loose: Vietnam actually contains — a useful checklist of everything the 50v50 shooter shipped with on August 13, 2026, across PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Windows Store), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The battlefield, as announced
The launch material centered four pillars:
- Six large-scale maps built from real-world inspiration, where terrain — not minimap awareness — decides engagements.
- Immersive 50v50 warfare in which strategy, squad cohesion and team play matter more than any individual's aim.
- Period-authentic arsenals: historically grounded weapons, vehicles and tactics, including the US faction's new air units and the NVA's distinctly asymmetric toolset.
- River warfare: both factions can crew armed patrol boats and use Vietnam's river networks to hunt each other along the waterlines.
Editions and the 2026 Field Supplies plan
Two editions went on sale at launch. The Deluxe edition's headline extra is the 2026 Field Supplies bundle — cosmetic content rolling out through the rest of 2026, including the ANZAC and NVA uniform packs and the Green Beret and SEAL uniform packs. (The full value math is on our Deluxe Edition page.)
Who makes it
The announcement closed with the corporate cards. Team17 Digital, founded in 1990, publishes — a 140-game catalog spanning Hell Let Loose, Worms, The Escapists and Golf With Your Friends, plus partner titles. Expression Games, founded in 2022 with 110-plus staff, leads development of the Hell Let Loose franchise and has taken a GamesIndustry.biz "Best Places to Work" award every year from 2023 through 2025.
For a fan wiki, the practical takeaway: both teams are invested in the long haul, and the Field Supplies cadence suggests the post-launch window is already mapped out.
