The July 24–27, 2026 crossplay beta opened Hell Let Loose: Vietnam to PC, PS5 and Xbox at once — and debuted a wide-open airfield map that punished jungle habits.

The last pre-launch test for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam was its biggest: a crossplay open beta running the weekend of July 24–27, 2026, free for PC, PS5 and Xbox players alike — the first time the game's three platforms shared servers.
Times and access
The test opened Friday, July 24 at 6 a.m. PDT / 9 a.m. EDT / 2 p.m. BST / 3 p.m. CEST and ran through the same time on Monday, July 27. Access went through the Steam page (console players joined through their storefronts), and progress carried nothing over — this was a pure field test.
The airfield map changed the rhythm
The headline new content was an airfield map, and it played deliberately against type. Where the jungle maps reward creeping cover-to-cover, the airfield's core is a vast open runway: almost no cover, sightlines measured in hundreds of metres, and a crossing that turns into a shooting gallery unless a squad plans smoke, suppression and timing in advance.
It's the same design philosophy the series has always had — every map has one defining strategic pressure point — applied to a completely different terrain answer. Veterans of the jungle tests had to relearn movement, and the squads that treated the runway like a jungle died on it.
What the test proved
For the game's trajectory, the weekend mattered twice over: it stress-tested the crossplay infrastructure that launched with the retail build on August 13, and it gave console newcomers their first taste of a 50v50 shooter that does not forgive lone-wolf play. If you died constantly that weekend, that was the tutorial working as intended.
